You saw the news about it all summer and into the fall—racism is still a significant issue in our country.
If what you saw has made you ask questions like:
“I’m not racist, so what does this have to do with me?”
“Isn’t “White Privilege” something we got over years ago, so isn’t this idea just a convenient scape-goat for minorities?”
Let’s talk about it together. At 1:00 p.m. on the five Sunday afternoons of Lent and concluding on Palm Sunday, Grace’s Social Ministry Committee will host a virtual workshop on racism based on materials prepared by the ELCA.
Log onto GraceYorktown.org or watch for the Friday Noon Update email to grab the link to join the Video Conference and access the “handouts” for the sessions. Please familiarize yourself with the materials in advance of each week’s workshop.Click to join the Anti-Racism Video Conference
